The Pirates of the Caribbean movies have begun to get a bit tedious. When they first started they were a fun and entertaining romp through the world of pirate lore. But with the release of their latest movie On Stranger Tides, I can’t help but feel they have lost what once made them so special.
There was plenty of action to keep me from walking out of the theater, but what the film really needed was a plot line. The search for the fountain of youth just didn’t seem to tie into previous story line, except that they had all of the same characters back to collect another big paycheck. I had bigger plot lines when I was trying to track down a Melissa & Doug Pirate Chest for sale my kids last birthday party.
I think the pirate franchise is getting a bit old. If Johnny Depp has a few more movies on his contract I hope the next time around they will come up with a better story line than this.

A few days ago someone told me to check out their YouTube channel. I said I did not know YouTube even had channels. They said oh yes YouTube has a ton of channels. I said what do you mean my channel 1, channel 2? They said no each user can create a channel for the content that they want to post. You can have a channel that is specifically just for the kind of youtube videos that you like to host. I said what is the point of that? My friend explained the channels helped to consolidate viewers and to get more views on your videos. I said okay that I would check out my friends channel. It was pretty cool. Now I have created my very own YouTube channel. It is so much fun to upload new videos every day. I do not have that many fans of my channel but that does not matter to me because I mostly am doing it for my own entertainment and satisfaction. I have recommended to all of my friends that they create their own YouTube channels as well.
Great Music for the Wedding
My future husband to be was in charge of the music at the wedding reception, he wanted to find a DJ that could play lots of great different music not just tech house music. My husband plays in a band and I told him if it wasnt his wedding then I would hire him, but since it is his wedding he wasnt available. Mix It Up
Now I have been producing and mixing music for a few years now, it is not anything to musically challenging but if my friends band or someone need some sounds edited or recorded I know how to do it and do it fairly well. Well recently I came across a piece of software that makes my job even more easy and makes it sound a lot better. This software is called Ableton Live. Ableton is a loop based sound mixer, it can do just about anything and everything that a big expensive sound board or mixer can do at half of the price. Now to learn this program you don’t really need to go to a fancy school you can just look up a Ableton Live tutorial, they have tons of them out there and they can really help you along your way to learn this great program, or if you already know this program there is always a new trick to learn about it through tutorials.

What an idea – to turn a photo to painting! It sounds too amazing to be true – but it is. I was very surprised when a friend of mine told me what she gave her husband as a present. She found an amazing portrait artist who turned her favorite photo to painting. I was really very suspicious – who is this artist, how is possible to make such a portrait painting – almost perfect. Taking a Quick Peek at Canon’s New Powershot SX230 HS
Canon recently revealed it’s new line of cameras that it will have on sale this year. There are a couple of new models that really make some nice advancements. The new Canon Powershot SX230HS is one model we’ll take a quick look at. It has some great new features that were previously only available on more expensive cameras.
The Canon SX230HS is a newer version of the popular SX210 IS, and carries with it some of the features that made it so popular. It has a large 14x optical zoom and 12 megapixel CMOS sensor similar to that of it’s predecessor. However it is a new sensor and paired with the Digic 4 processor is able to capture some really clear photos.
One of the new features that was added with the release of the SX230 HS is built in GPS tracking of your photos. This technology has come a long way since it was first introduced and now Canon is putting it on some more of it’s models.
We’ll learn more about this new camera as the shipping dates get closer and they start making it into the stores. Keep an eye out for this one.
